Janneke Nijsen (born 1968) is a private banker through and through. She has a strong eye for details, thinks strategically and is always alert to new opportunities and possibilities for her clients. She is enthusiastic about Luxembourg and particularly enjoys the complexity of international banking. She knows better than anyone what is on offer in the financial world as she has more than 20 years of experience in private banking and the management of various bank branches. Janneke is particularly good at listening and takes a genuine interest in people.
In all my years as a private banker I have seen what a burden assets can be. At Augemus, we want to relieve you of that burden so that both you and future generations can enjoy your assets.
Janneke Nijsen studied Business Economics and Dutch Law at Maastricht University. After a brief stint as an academic, she continued her career with ABN AMRO in Luxembourg, working in the legal and credit departments. She then held a commercial position as a private banker. In 2001, she was appointed private banking manager and a member of the bank’s management team. This was followed by an appointment as director of the private banking office in Eindhoven. However, she continued to feel the attraction of Luxembourg and the complexities of international banking. This led her to decide to return to Luxembourg in 2008 as the managing director of Van Lanschot Bankiers (Luxembourg). She has been helping to set up Augemus since February 2012.
